Faith Story by Antrick Cheong
Thank God for His abundant provision and for a fruitful 2021!
After Christmas in 2021, there was a restlessness in my heart and I started to ask myself what 2022 will be like. Will it be as good as 2021? I started to worry unnecessarily as my carnal feelings took over. After much deliberation, I decided to take a day to seek the Lord.
During my time with the Lord, I was lead to read the book of Joshua and this verse jumped out at me:
Joshua 1:7 “Only be strong and be very courageous”.
At another instance when I was looking through YouTube for a sermon to listen to, I was lead to a sermon by SIB KL with the title “MOVING FORWARD”. The main text of this sermon was taken from the book of Joshua and it was related to the crossing of the river Jordan. This again was God leading me to the book of Joshua.
On the 7th of January, 2022, my company had our annual dinner in a hotel in Tanjung Aru and since I was one of the coordinators, my initial plan for that day was to dedicate it to taking care of all the necessary last minute coordination work.
However, there was a strong urge prompting me to place an advertisement in Facebook for a new project that we had just gotten the approval to sell. Initially I ignored it, but it kept becoming stronger and stronger that I decided to just get it done before starting the coordinating work for the dinner.
Not long after I posted the advertisement, I had gotten an overwhelming number of responses and was kept busy answering all the enquiries. To cut the story short, on the 8th of January, 2022 at around 4pm in the evening, an outstation customer who responded to my earlier advertisement texted me and told me of his decision to put in the required deposit to book a unit at the advertised property. This was done purely through WhatsApp, without the customer visiting the site nor physically seeing the show unit as it was not ready then. The value of the this property was RM2.65 Million!
I was overwhelmed and amazed. Indeed God had provided abundantly above and beyond anything I could have imagined! Immediately, I remembered the word of God in Ephesians 3:20 that said “now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us”.
My takeaway lesson from this experience is that we should never put God in a box! God can bless us from A to Z without going through all the other alphabets!
Trust the Lord for He is faithful and mighty! Look beyond all our existing situations and circumstances. He will surely see us through and like the Israelites, we will definitely cross over the river Jordan!
To God be the glory!
