The New Testament is the biggest guide for our lives now and for the future. This course will provide an overview and shed light on how it correlates to and fulfils the truths in the Old Testament.
Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the New Testament from Matthew through Revelation and includes a brief background study of the inter-testamental period between Malachi of the Old Testament and Matthew of the New Testament. The overview includes authorship, historical setting, purposes and themes, and other pertinent information, all work together to place each book in its own setting and clarifying its thought and message.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will:
- Understand the setting and purpose for each book in the New Testament.
- See the “Big Picture” or overview of the New Testament so you can better understand the details and principles taught.
- Gain a basic understanding of the various classifications of the writings in the New Testament.
